Laura Hall, president of the Horizon Academy Board of Directors, received the first ever "Shield Award" from Will Shield's "Will to Succeed Foundation". Laura was honored for being an outstanding volunteer and philanthropist with children in the Kansas City community. In addition to the award, Horizon Academy was given $3,000 by the Will to Succeed Foundation.
